As the New Year approaches thousands of Americans start to make out their New Years Resolutions in hopes of achieve them. Some Americans will put quitting smoking, stop drinking, spend more time with family, don’t stress out as much at the top of their list but there is another resolution that beats those resolutions by far.

Obesity causes life threatening issues such as raises blood pressure levels, induce diabetes, and raise blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Other than Obesity there are also other issues facing weight loss such as the obsession of losing weight and working out. This obsession is the direct opposite of Obesity but is also a huge issue in America today.

With the constant pressure of our society in Hollywood to look like our favorite icons and movie stars many people lose focus on why being healthy is important. The whole purpose of losing weight for most people is the fact that they LOOK better to other people and are more of a mirror image of their favorite idol.
