“Do it now. You become successful the moment you start moving toward a worthwhile goal.”

The hardest part for anyone is taking the step of setting their goals. Your goal could range anywhere from losing 10 pounds to losing 100 pounds or get those abs you’ve always wanted or just living a healthier lifestyle. The only way you are going to achieve any goal is to set them and dissect how you are going to achieve them.
It is so important when you’re setting your goal that it should be realistic. If you set a goal such as losing 15 pounds in one week then in most instances it will be almost impossible to lose that much weight without being unhealthy. Setting a goal such as 5 pounds per week, or to lose 30 pounds in three months is a more achievable goal. The point is, know what your capabilities are and don’t over set a goal.
If you aren’t sure of how to start setting your goal follow these simple steps and answer these following questions:
- Where do I want to be a year from now with my health and body?
- What is my top priority for myself?
- Write down 5 things you would like to accomplish within the next year.
- Are these goals realistic?
- Write down how you want to achieve these goals. (i.e. start exercising everyday for at least 30 minutes, eat smaller portions etc...)
The most important thing to remember when setting your goals is to know why you want to achieve them. If you want to lose weight for your partner because they made the comment “Your too fat, lose some weight.” Then that is not the right motive to wanting to lose weight. You have to do it for you because you want it. If you don’t have the desire or want to reach your goal then you won’t achieve it. It’s plain and simple. When there is a will there is a way. Set as many goals as you want and achieve them.
TIP: If you are having trouble setting your goals and figuring out ways to achieve them, ask a friend to participate with you. Having a friend who is seeking the same goal as you are will motivate you to succeed. Make sure you make the agreement to push each other no matter what.
”Crystallize your goals. Make a plan for achieving them and set yourself a deadline. Then, with supreme confidence, determination and disregard for obstacles and other people's criticisms, carry out your plan." Paul Meyer

“You, too, can determine what you want. You can decide on your major objectives, targets, aims and destination.” W. Clement Stone
“Write it down. Written goals have a way of transforming wishes into wants; cant's into cans; dreams into plans; and plans into reality. Don't just think it - ink it!” Author Unknown
