After months of working hard, setting goals, making a plan, and avoiding temptations you finally have achieved your goal. Hopefully, you followed your plan correctly and you achieved your goal even if it a little less than what you have hoped for. The point is, you did it.
Whether or not you came a little short or even came a little higher than what you expected being successful and sticking with your plan gave you great results. You should notice an increased amount of energy and your body should be completely adjusted to your new food and workout plan. The results are the best part of any goal you’ve set out to achieve. The results show you how your hard work has paid off and now you can fit into those skinny jeans or into that swim suit you’ve always dreamed of.
What to do now after your goal is reached
Knowing where to go after you’ve reached your goal can be somewhat confusing. If you lost the weight you wanted to lose, it is important to maintain your plan but in a lesser degree. If you automatically quit your plan and go back to your old ways your weight will come right back on in a short period of time. It’s important to maintain the eating and exercise plan you have established. However, remember that you can indulge a little bit more and maybe take in a few more hundred calories if desired.
The important thing is to continue living a good and healthy lifestyle the rest of your life. Feeling better about yourself is a great feeling. The fact that you set a goal to go after and you completed it is a reward in itself.
It is even wise to set some new goals and a new plan now that you have the desired look you wanted. Though, you may not have achieved your full potential that you desired so you may want to continue. Just repeat the steps above until you feel you’ve become where you want to be.
Hopefully, in the end you’ve gained more confidence about yourself and that you’ve learned to love your body. Even though you may never reach a size 0 that’s okay. Everyone’s body is different and the most important thing to remember is that you need to be comfortable in your skin. Knowing you’ve made your body the best it can be will change your outlook of yourself and give you a sense of pride that you deserve.
Keep in mind each day about what you’ve become so that you don’t ruin what you’ve achieved. Think before you eat and always make time for exercise at least three times a week. Working out for 30 minutes, for 3 days a week is better than not working out at all.
Just remember: Nobody can make you do something or make you feel something that your not. Keep a positive outlook on yourself and on life and you will only progress further as each day passes.
